A Heinkel He219 (Owl) and a Messerschmitt Me110G-4 of NJG-1 climb into the darkening sky above the Ruhr Valley on the night of November 2nd, 1944. Together with eight other Luftwaffe night-fighters they will intercept the RAF raid on Dusseldorf, and helped destroy nineteen bombers that night.
