It is Christmas 1944 and as P51 Mustangs from the 339th Fighter Group race overhead, local servicemen take a well earned break in a traditional English pub on the Sussex coast. After first appearing on British roads the American Willys Jeep soon became a welcome and familiar sight and was also widely used by the British forces, becoming a symbol of transatlantic friendship and united determination to free Europe.
